  • White House Farm, Gt. Glemham Saxmundham IP17 1LS United Kingdom (map)

What to expect

Join our Late AUtumN workshop in the forest learning How to Create Smudge sticks and Seasonal preparations with foraged and dried herbs

This is a seasonal woodland based workshop focusing on creativity and experimentation. You will be guided through the craft of creating your own smudging sticks and other herbal preparations. There will be the opportunity to discover ‘strewing herbs’, their traditional practical applications and modern interpretations. Additionally you will learn the properties and folklore of the woodland plants around us. At lunchtime we will join together around the campfire to share a warming homemade soup and bread.

With a focus on habitat awareness, these small groups are carefully curated. You’ll be immersed within this pristine area of natural beauty with lofty Douglas firs, a spiritual Yew grove, elderly Larch trees, established Elms, ancient coppices of Sweet Chestnut and Hazel, characterful Oaks, fungi & lichen, tranquil birdlife, and the beloved homes of many woodland creatures.
