The Herber & Co Website and is governed by the Terms and Conditions as set out below. Your use of any part of our website for browsing and/or placing an order confirms that you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions listed.
Herber Events: Walks, Talks and Workshops
We offer a number of events available to book and purchase via our website. Herber & Co reserve the right to confirm the booking once full payment has been received from yourself and any booking confirmation will be made in writing via email if appropriate. Every effort is made to accurately describe the event at the time of writing, and you will receive more specific details regarding timing and location after payment has been made and within 7 days of the event itself.
Cancellation of Events
After a booking has been confirmed in writing by Herber & Co you have the right to cancel within seven days and receive a full refund, but after this time any cancellation will be subject to our returns policy relating to Events. Any cancellation during this time must be made in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
During the initial seven day period after booking an Event, Herber & Co will accept cancellations in writing and will refund the full amount for that Event. For cancellations up until 7 days before the event, we will be pleased to issue a credit note to transfer the booking to one future Event if booked within twelve months of the original Event date. Any cancellations after that time will not be refundable and Herber & Co will not guarantee the right to transfer the booking to a future date.
In the unlikely event that any Event is cancelled due to lack of numbers, adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, Herber & Co reserve the right to cancel that Event. A full refund for the cost of the Event will be made, but Herber & Co will not meet any expenses that are incurred for the Event attendance; such as accommodation, travelling costs or otherwise.
The Herber Store
Please add any goods that you wish to purchase into the ‘cart’. You can return to the cart and add further items whilst continuing to browse the website. When you are ready to complete the order, please select ‘Checkout’ and then you will be asked to enter billing and shipping details. After finishing this section and following successful payment authorisation, Herber will send a confirmation of your order and any details entered. This confirmation does not indicate that a contract exists between the buyer and Herber & Co, and we reserve the right not to accept a request to purchase.
A contract will be effective subject to our confirmed acceptance of the order, your authorised payment of and continued confirmation of that order, and the dispatch of goods purchased within that order. If Herber & Co are not able to dispatch goods ordered - whether that is caused by lack of stock or other incidence, a member of the team will contact you by your preferred means as registered on your Order Form.
Herber & Co take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of Events and Products appearing on the Herber Website are correct at the time of writing and that the relevant information regarding those products was entered. Legal ownership of all goods will be retained by Herber & Co until full payment has been made by you and such payment has been received by us. Legal ownership of any of those goods will be returned to Herber & Co, if any payments for those goods are refunded to you at any point after the initial transaction has been made.
As soon as the purchased goods are received by you, you the assume all risk in those goods.
If you change your mind about your goods ordered from Herber & Co, you must contact us by email or phone within 7 days of receipt of those relevant goods. Returned items will be accepted within 30 days of purchase if they remain unused, intact and in a saleable condition. Where appropriate, the seals must not be broken. Any original post & packaging costs will not be refundable and any goods to be returned should be done so safely and at the purchaser’s expense. We recommend that you at very least, obtain a proof of posting from your Post Office. If Herber & Co receive incomplete, damaged or used items, we may not be able to make a full refund.
Herber & Co make every effort to ensure that goods are posted in adequate packaging, with appropriate posting methods to enable safe receipt of your goods; however, some things are beyond our control. If your goods arrive in a damaged condition, please contact us at email@example.com as soon as possible and certainly within 7 days of receipt. Usually, you will be asked to return any damaged goods to enable further investigation with the appropriate delivery service. A refund for return postage will be given provided that you have the consent of Herber & Co.
All orders for goods over £30 will be delivered via Royal Mail tracked service and will be free of charge. Anything under this threshold will incur a postal charge as indicated at checkout. Herber & Co do not accept any liability for a delayed delivery caused by the postal or delivery service.
Herber & Co use the PayPal platform to process all financial transactions. To that end, we do not have access to any of your banking details as all the information is processed, stored and encrypted on the Paypal platform. All transactions should therefore be made with confidence and with the knowledge that no account details are passed over to any third party.
Upon attending an Event or visiting our website, you agree that any documentation received from Herber & Co during that event or whilst visiting the website remains the property of Herber & Co. All information is bound by copyright and you may only disseminate, sell, copy or reproduce material – written, graphic, oral or photographic – with the express written permission from Herber & Co.
Terms & Conditions – Amendments
Herber & Co has the right to revise the Terms and Conditions at any time and please be aware that any amendments may have retrospective effects on your use of the website and or products and services.
In the unlikely event that you have a complaint about your purchased goods or comments about those goods purchased via the online website, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org including your Order Reference Number.
