What to expect
Gather around the fire, absorbing its restorative warming effects and connecting with and enjoy the potential of the wild plants and herbs on the farm.
This is an outdoors walking workshop. We will identify flowers, herbs and trees as we go, exploring their uses, traditions and folklore, and forage some fresh foliage and produce. We’ll make a brew on the fire and prepare some herb infusions with honeys, oils and vinegars. This is an opportunity to experiment in a relaxed atmosphere creating your own preparations to take away.
Need to know
This is a small, relaxed, practical workshop that focuses on experimentation with natural ingredients and recipe making. We will be using The Herbernaculum workshop at White House Farm, with the added open-spaces of the covered teaching area adjacent. We have set up these workshops with smaller group sizes, in a friendly and relaxed open-air environment. All materials will be provided and you will be able to take away a set of your finished botanical remedies. The fire is within the open barn and you’ll have the opportunity to visit the surrounding galleries and the on site artists and makers gallery shop after the workshop is finished or bring a packed lunch and picnic on the farm after the worshop.
